About the role

In Golar LNG we liquefy natural gas offshore using our unique Floating LNG (FLNG) technology. We are focused on increasing our portfolio of FLNG projects where our main competitive strength is the speed of execution at low cost. As a Planner, you have a crucial part in assisting the Assets and FLNG departments in developing and managing the planning of our different projects and activities. For example, Vessel activities, shutdown plans, operations readiness activities, scheduling of maintenance, or FLNG department improvement projects.

In this role, you will join our 6-member Asset team, collaborating extensively with our onshore and offshore personnel. Your work will involve close partnership not only with your immediate team but also with Project Managers who implement the plans you devise. Additionally, you will have the support of internal stakeholders and experts across various fields, aiding you in crafting optimal maintenance schedules. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage broadly and be impactful within our dynamic organization.

Work tasks

  • Coordinate planning of onboard activities
  • Liaise closely with offshore and onshore environment to get accurate input and updates to plans and share with stakeholders on a regular basis
  • Attend daily and weekly operations meetings
  • Assist Assets in POB planning, service engineer visits, operations look ahead planning, maintenance management and/or inventory planning
  • Drive shutdown and planning meetings and visualize critical path
  • Work with Maintenance Manager for preparing Maintenance Shutdown Plans and 5-yearly class renewal plans
  • For Assets in pre-operations phase work with Project Manager and the Asset Team in the development and management of Operations Readiness planning and Maintenance Build
  • Responsible for preparing, updating and driving our 90 day / 120 day plan
  • Maximo planning activities - scheduling of work orders
  • Responsible for driving lessons learned review on plans/execution and updating processes as part of the continuous improvement process

We are looking for

  • Relevant work experience on- or offshore that has given you an understanding of mechanical, electrical, or electronic maintenance processes
  • Fluent in English
  • Great system skills, and there is an advantage if you have experience with project planning tools

It is meritorious if you have:

  • The Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW)
  • Education in mechanical, electrical, or instrument engineering
  • Experience working in Maximo
  • Experience in planned maintenance systems from an offshore environment; FLNG, FPSO, fixed installations, or drilling

  • Detail-oriented - to value quality and to work thoroughly to make sure the plans are as good as they can be
  • Self-going - you take responsibility for following up with stakeholders internally, to make sure you have the right and relevant information at all times

Our recruitment process

Our recruitment process is in collaboration with Julia in Academic Work. The process includes two tests: one personality test and one cognitive test. The tests are tools to find the right talent for the right position, to enable equality, diversity, and a fair process.
