Academic Work Academy create new job opportunities with re-skilling tech program

Academic Work Academy will train Salesforce tech experts in five European countries. The first international group graduated in October 2021.

With millions of users worldwide, Salesforce is the global leader in enterprise Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, bringing companies and their customers together in the digital age.

Salesforce is one of the world’s fastest-growing platforms in data-driven customer relations, and there is an ever-growing need for consultants and experts who can help clients to implement it. Academic Work’s sister company Academic Work Academy has created a tailored educational program to address this need, which is all the more pressing due to the increased digitalisation that has been accelerated by the Covid-19 pandemic.

“The need for Salesforce competence is increasing on a European level. I'm excited to see our markets work intensely in a joint effort to re-skill people and create new job opportunities in the market. This is something that will benefit our customers immediately,” says Johan Skarborg, CEO of the AW Group, of which Academic Work and Academic Work Academy are included.
“The demand for Salesforce administrators, developers, architects and consultants is high and growing at a rapid pace. At the AW Group we have built our business on helping our customers to find, recruit and develop the talent they need to grow, and this program is an extension of that,” Skarborg adds.
“In the last six years, we have delivered over 100 educational programs and now that we are offering it in five countries, we expect our Salesforce program will be the biggest yet. We are looking forward to providing our clients with competent Salesforce consultants who will make an immediate difference.”

Måns Johnsson, Salesforce Northern Europe, is positive to the collaboration.

“Between 2019-2024, IDC predicts Salesforce and its ecosystem to enable the creation of 4.2 million jobs worldwide. We’re committed to help our customers and partners grow with the accelerated digitalisation demands on all platforms. AW Group’s concept of a successful fast track program is a brilliant way to re-skill people for the future of work and new career paths”, says Måns Johnsson, Regional Vice President, Industries & Partners, Salesforce Northern Europe.

Based on accelerated learning, where students learn quickly via practical exercises, teamwork and feedback, the 12-week online program will be held in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Germany, with the graduates expected to be available as consultants in those markets in October.

Since it was founded in 1999, Salesforce has enabled companies of every size and industry to take advantage of powerful technologies — cloud, mobile, social, artificial intelligence, voice and blockchain — to connect to their customers in a whole new way.

The Academic Work Academy program will provide participants with the training required to gain the certification of Salesforce Administrator, Sales Cloud Consultant and Service Cloud Consultant.

“The program is part of our commitment to international expansion, where we intend to share the expertise we have gained over the last decade when it comes to both the education and recruitment of the most promising IT consultants in a very competitive market,” says Johan Skarborg.
